Senior Medical Insurance (U.S. Domestic coverage)
Senior Medical Insurance is a major medical insurance plan intended for persons aged 60 – 95 who are waiting to qualify for Medicare. Foreign Nationals are usually eligible to purchase Medicare Parts A & B five years after becoming U.S. Residents. While awaiting enrollment in Medicare, you may apply for the following senior medical insurance.
The following senior medical insurance are not compliant with the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”).
The Bridge Plan by Petersen International
- Coverage length: Up to 11 months. At the end of 11 months, a non-US citizen may apply for a new policy. US citizens are limited to a single policy period of up to 11 months.
- Deductibles: $1,000, $1,500, $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000 (Availability varies by age)
- Coinsurance: 20% of the next $10,000, then 0% of any remaining expenses up to your policy max
- Policy Maximum: $250,000 (age 60-74), $100,000 (75-79), $50,000 (80-89), $25,000 (90-95)
- You can see any doctor. There’s no provider Network.
- Pre-existing conditions, preventive services, treatment which is not medically necessary are not covered among other exclusions & limitations. Please read the policy documents carefully.
